I'll have to catch da Sunday 5PM replay. Bet Ben did not speak up 4 transit. Or talk much bout race. West Street divides the races. West r most of the blacks and east r most of the whites. West Street could b the main N/S corridor 4 mass transit. Truth is the city fathers believe transit is a waste. Social development depends on public education & transit.
That's a great point Charlie, I wish we could have talked about all of those issues yesterday. Keep watching, we have posts in the works about public transit and West Jackson actually. Mass trasportation; getting people out of their cars and interacting with eachother is the best way to recreate the sense of community that Jackson sometimes seems to be missing...but slowly on its way to acheiving again.
